Aren’t our brains fascinating?

When I was 7 years old my sister got sick and went to the hospital. She was transferred to a larger hospital in the city where the doctors knew more or had better equipment and she stayed there for a long time. Turned out she had a brain tumour that causes pressure on parts of her brain. She was operated on and she recovered but she was never the same again. She had double vision in her left eye and her balance was off. Her confidence was less and her friends changed.

I guess it’s there that my interest in how the brain works started. I studied art and found a book on how to use your right brain to learn to draw. I found the exercises fascinating. The exercises were based on the research of split brain patients and how different parts of the brain had different functions. I’m intrigued by how I can teach someone to draw by showing them simple exercises and explaining a very basic brain concept.

During lockdown, I had the opportunity to learn more about the workings of the brain. I attended a webinar of Kobus Neethling, the developer of the Brain preference instrument. His international research career spans 30 years and his research also mentions the same split-brain research that I learned about while learning how to draw. The information intrigued me.  There was an offer to train as a Brain profile practitioner online.  So how could I say no? The opportunity to learn more about the brain was perfectly timed so I jumped at the opportunity!

Neethling Brain Instrument – NBI

The new knowledge I gained from the course is captivating. It opens up so much insight into how your brain preference influences the way you operate in the world. In knowing your brain preference profile, you gain insight into many aspects of life.

For instance how you:

  • act towards other people
  • do business
  • communicate
  • learn
  • teach
  • solve problems
  • form relationships
  • handle stress
  • make decisions

Parents can gain insight into how to interact with children according to there brain preferences. You even gain insight into lifestyle choices like weight and exercise according to your brain profile.

According to the Neethling brain Instrument, a person’s brain is divided into four different thinking quadrants:

L1 – Analytical and factual
L2 – Organised and detailed

R1 – Strategic and unorthodox
R2 – Interpersonal and sensitive

Each of the four quadrants is further divided into two to give 8 distinct dimensions to a person’s thinking preference.

As a newly qualified NBI practitioner, I’m am excited and curious how this simple test can help you in all aspects of your life is such an effortless way.

I would love to share this knowledge with you! I have the following offers available at very special prices for a limited time only!

Feedback from a client:

Renschie Smit; a mother’s after a personal feedback session on possible career choices for Chantè:

“Chantè found the questions interesting and was keen to understand how this will help her with a career choice as she was so confused. Most of her friends have had one option for most of their high school career and she felt lost and very demotivated. Having you take the time to explain to her that she is strong in all four areas and can, therefore, make a quick transition to most careers has helped her calm down. Your gentle way of assisting and guiding her in understanding that she can choose something that is a passion and excel at it regardless of peer pressure or other people’s influence has been amazing.

As parents, we found this helpful in a more personal way. We now really understand her a lot better and can assist her in making her dreams a reality.”

  1. Hi Sanchi is the level 2 optional good one to be able to sort the issues that come up out.

I find level 3 is a bit expensive for me
